The short answer is, “As often as you feel necessary.” Generally 2 to 3 meetings is sufficient with lots of email and phone contact in between.
Generally we will meet initially when you are making your decision as to whether or not I am the right celebrant for you. This initial meeting usually takes around one hour.
Then we will meet, correspond be email or chat over the phone once your ceremony is drafted – usually 2 to 3 months from your wedding date. Often couples, when in the area, will drop in for a coffee and chat – just to help us all get to know one another. This is something I encourage as the more comfortable you are with me, the more you can relax and be sure that your wedding ceremony will be as you want it.
The next meeting is usually at your rehearsal – which I will always attend at no extra cost to you.
And finally, of course, on your wedding day!
However, please remember:
- If you feel more frequent meetings are preferable then that is what you will have.
- If you live far away and regular meetings are not possible (as is the case with many of my clients), then we chat by Skype, email and telephone until your rehearsal or when you arrive in Montville or Maleny.
